Writing ~ Crown Heights
Ever Felt like u were being ignored?
Like u were in a box made of steel walls?
Ever Felt like u were small?
Like everyone was lookn down on you with no hope in you at all?
Ever felt like you wanted to scream?
But then you bump your head and wake up and realize it was just a dream?
Ever felt like you were holding the world in the palm of your hand?
And your life is like an unorganized band?
Harmonies all over the place..Melodies dont sound right..but you keep practicing hoping someone lends you a helping hand.
Ever felt like you were left alone in a room?
With ripped up wallpapers and smelly shoes?
Like the world is caving in on you and suddenly ending.
What about the feeling of running away?
With no place to go
No one to turn to
Noone to hold?
Who do you call?
Ever felt like your nightmares were real?
The twists and turns
The tears you would cry at night is your everyday life.
Ever felt like you weren't strong enough?
Letting go of the past
Dealing with absence of a family member
A best friend you thought would be forever
That girl/boy you thought would never break your heart
Left you with unanswered questions
You wanna talk and try to figure it out
But you don't know where to start.
Ever felt like you needed to take your own advice?
People always come to you with their problems similar to yours
You tell them positive things and to cheer up and smile
When all you do is sit there and cry?

The color i love to wear
The color of my hair
The color that means so much but gets treated with no care.
The color of my nails
The color of halls when the lights are off
The color i see when i close my eyes
The color people wear when we die.
The color of power, your darkest hour,a dead flower
The color of depression and fear
The color you run to, to shed tears.
The color of my skin and
The color of my heart
The color thats breakin this world apart
The color of my president
The color that speaks truth
The color that we can make stronger if we really wanted to
If all these things about the color Black are true, i can relate to them...Can you?
